When Walt Disney created the first Disney Film – Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs – in 1937, he began the first chapter in what would become the lasting empire and legacy that is today known as Walt Disney Studios.

He was posthumously awarded his final Academy Award in 1969 for Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day.

Disney is known to bring light and love to people, through charismatic characters and storylines that embrace fun – often with a life lesson to be learnt. For many children, Disney films form part of a rich education with the messages from within the movies resonating deeply.
